This guide explains how to manually set up a PPTP VPN
connection on Windows 7 and start using the VPN99 service.
You can download and use our VPN app for Windows or set up VPN connection manually:
Click Start in the bottom-left corner of your screen
Or press the Windows key on your keyboard and open Control Panel.
In Control Panel, choose Network and Internet -> View network status and tasks.
Next click Set up a new connection or network.
Select Connect to a workplace and click Next.
Select Use my Internet connection (VPN).
In the Internet address field, type in X.vpn99.net.
Use VPN99 as Destination name.
Check Don't connect now... and click Next.
Type in your Login and Password in fields below.
We recommend that you also check Remember this password box. Now click Create.
Click Change adapter settings.
Right-click the VPN21 connection you've just created and select Properties.
Go to Security tab.
Select PPTP Type of VPN instead of Automatic.
Now go to the Networking tab.
In the Networking tab we recommend that you check the boxes the way it is shown on the screenshot and click OK.
Double-click the VPN21 connection and press Connect.
Wait until your credentials are identified...
If your credentials are correct VPN99 will be connected!
To disconnect, click the monitor icon in the bottom-right corner, select VPN21 and press Disconnect.
